Quantity often has it's own Quality!

As a photographer, I can say this with certainty: some of my favorite shots weren’t the result of a perfect plan. They were found in the middle of repetition — shooting daily, experimenting, failing.

One photo might be okay. But a thousand? That’s when a story starts to emerge. A voice. A point of view.

Quantity becomes clarity over time.

The Himalayan Journals

Welcome to my Podcast - "The Himalayan Journals"

It's 2:20 AM, the vinyl stopped playing long ago and I have been reading the Himalayan Club Journals for some time now... These journals are crammed with tiny tales of bold mountaineers, their roving adventures and scientific explorations over a century! As I got lost in the snow-capped peaks, hidden mountain valleys and stories of the local communities, I wished someone would tell me these forgotten stories as mountain folklore.

I scraped the internet but couldn't find what I was looking for, so ended up creating this Podcast - "The Himalayan Journals" as my personal time machine—a way to connect with the grandfather I never met, through the adventures he might have dreamt of. Picture this: an old traveler, wise with age, his eyes twinkling with mischief, recounting his wild escapades to an eager young boy, hanging on his every word.

Each episode is a blend of wisdom, and wanderlust, with stories that have stood the test of time. Go, grab your headphones and join our little circle of true mountain lovers gathered under the starlit sky of the Himalayas.

Thank you for creating a workplace that is dynamic, inclusive, and supportive of crazy ideas!

A blurred football match!

It was very challenging to shoot this scene handheld that too in fading light. I was using very high ISOs and shutter speeds of around 1/50 s but then thought of experimenting a little more. Next one, I did a in-camera zoom burst. Curious to know how? I was using the 24 - 120 mm lens at f 4.5, I had set the scene at 85 mm and rotated the zoom ring while taking the photo. I was quite happy with the results, and it was something different.

Trip Planning - Andamans

Also, this would be more of a vacation with the wife than a photo expedition. Will keep it nice and easy and am afraid it is going to be touristy! Though I have a found a few offbeat places but photography-wise am skeptical…

Anyway, here’s what my tentative itinerary looks like:
