Is this you?

You have a day job. And a creative life you've been putting off.

You have a job to do, bills to pay, and people who depend on you. But there's something else you want to make. Photographs. Music. Words. Something that's yours.

You tell yourself you'll get to it when work gets easier, when life slows down, when you finally have the time.

But life doesn't slow down. And time doesn't magically appear.

I've spent more than a decade in a corporate job, making photographs along the way. I haven't figured it all out. But I've learned that a creative life doesn't have to begin after your working life ends. It can happen alongside it.

9-5 AND ART is about making room for the things that make you feel alive, without pretending you can abandon everything else.

No hacks. No overnight transformations. Just photography, philosophy, and the pursuit of a creative life.

The rest is yours to figure out.

Three ideas from the book

01

9-5 is not an enemy of art.

Think of the two as friends. They can feed each other if you let them. It's hard. Worth doing though.

02

Run on loose systems.

My calendar has a 30-minute block called "nothing urgent". It's where the editing happens.

03

Art comes with a non-compete clause.

Nobody can do your version. You only have to keep learning, experimenting and moving forward.
